ReWines

Welcome to the world of ReWine. In Europe refilling has been a way of life for 100s of years. It is safe and simple.  In France, Italy and Spain you can fill your demijohn (large glass vessel) from what looks like a petrol bowser. Yes it’s just like filling up your car. The wine quality is pretty basic but it does help to satisfy the huge ‘vin ordinaire’ market in these countries.

Here in Australia we have taken this basic process, refined it, and added better quality wine. You can purchase Rewines either by ordering on line or at  our Preston Market shop. They are available in 750 ml bottles and 4.5 litre refillers.

ReWines are sourced directly from wineries in Australia and New Zealand. They are drink now styles that are ready to bottle.

We must be doing something right as 81% of our customers are repeat customers.

2 Basic principles

1. Empty ReWine bottles cannot be returned for a refund.
2. ReWine takes no responsibility for the cleanliness of your bottles.

Shelf life

ReWines will remain sound, if unopened, for a minimum of 2 months.

Just like any bottle of wine, once opened ReWines in 750 ml bottles should be consumed within 2 – 3 days.

The 4.5 litre refiller is designed for refilling into your wine bottles at home. View video. The refiller is also great for parties or taking away on a holiday. Once opened it needs to be consumed within 5 days or decanted into bottles.

Wine buyer

Marshall Waters is the wine buyer and has over 20 years experience in the wine industry.
Marshall has an excellent palate. He is larger than life, a bit bombastic and has no problems telling a wine maker exactly what he thinks about their wine.

Marshall is a pinotphile (lover of Pinot Noir) and wants to convert all wine drinkers to the virtues of this ‘wondrous amazing stuff”. On the other hand he detests Cabernet Sauvignon and considers it to be a weed. If he had his way all Cabernet would be ripped out. Thankfully he doesn’t. So any Cabernet or Pinot Noir that ReWine sells will be pretty good.

Wine logistics

Robert Swords is in charge of Wine Logistics and has been involved in the wine industry since 1989. Robert has a touch of the mad professor about him and has been an innovator in the retail industry for 15 years. He looks great in a lab coat and protective glasses. Robert is responsible for getting the wine from the winery to you. Where Marshall is concerned with palate structure, varietal integrity, drink ability, and availability Robert is concerned with stability, filtration, transport and making sure the wine gets to the customer in good condition.
