Where do the wines come from?
ReWines are sourced from wineries around Australia and New Zealand. At any one time our complete range will be sourced from 8 – 9 wineries. ReWine is independent and is not affiliated with any winery or wine organization.
How does the ReWine thing work?
If shopping at our Preston Market store your first wine pruchase will include a new bottle. When your bottle is empty you clean it and return for another refill. If shopping online go to our Home Delivery page for details.
How long do ReWines last if unopened?
ReWines can be kept unopened for a minimum of 2 months from the date of purchase.
Once a ReWine is opened how long will it last?
This depends on how thirsty you are…. Normally 2 – 3 days, like other bottled wine.
Can I get a refund on my ReWine bottle.
No. We don’t refund bottles because of the health issues and cost of rewashing them.
Are ReWines clean skins?
No. Clean skins are pre bottled wines that leave the winery without a label on them, hence the name clean skin. ReWine buys its wine in an unbottled form. This prevents you from having to pay for unnecessary packaging.
Do I have to lie my Rewines down when storing them?
No. The swing top closure on the ReWine bottle will not dry out and will not leak.
What are the names of the wineries that you buy ReWines from?
If I told you this I would have to shoot you. As this can be messy we prefer to let our customers decide on the merits of a wine rather than be influenced by its pedigree.
Wineries don’t want to be identified because:
1. Most wineries have distribution agreements in place that control the use of their winery name and any brands associated with it.
2. Price. Many ReWines when packaged by the winery of origin are sold in retail shops at over twice our ReWine price.
Do you have any other retail outlets other than the Preston Market?
Not yet. If the Preston Market is difficult to get to please use our home delivery service.
What added preservatives do your wines have?
The best preservative wine has is alcohol. It is shown on the label as % alc. The following are the 3 additives that may be in our wines and will be shown on the label of each wine.
220. This is the code for Sulphur Dioxide and appears on all our labels.
All our wines have 220 added. It is an antimicrobial and antioxidising agent and is a standard additive for 99% of all Australian wines.
202. This is the code for Potassium Sorbate. It inhibits yeast activity and is included in any of our wines that have residual sugar. I.e. taste sweet.
300. This is the code for Ascorbic acid, or vitamin C. It is used as an anti oxidizing agent in some white wines.
If I have had a red wine in my bottle can I fill it with a white wine?
Yes. If you follow our cleaning instructions you can put any wine you like in your bottle.
I have bought a dozen bottles of wine through your home delivery service. Now that they are empty how do I get them refilled?
To refill your bottles order two, 4.5 ltr refill packs. Each refiller contains 4.5 litres of one wine and will fill up 6 X 750 ml bottles. Your 2 refill packs will be delivered to you by Australia Post. You can choose 2 separate wines when you order, and labels are available on request. View our refilling video here.
Does ReWine fill anything larger than the 4.5 litre refill pack?
Yes. From 25 litre to 20,000 litre.
The issue will be delivery. Contact us (link) and let’s talk.
