MULLED WINE SYRUP
We have been selling mulled wine by the cup at the winter night markets at the Queen Victoria Market.
Lots of customers wanted to be able to do it at home so we prepared a "syrup" that has all the ingredients of our recipe just leaving out the wine. It comes a a rich spicy mixture that is simply added at the rate a 1:10 into red wine. Then just bring it up to drinking temperature and serve. No more simmering for an hour which destroys the wine anyway. You can serve it one serve at a time or mix up the whole bottle with 4 litres of wine and start a Christmas party.
