Pinot Gris 2020 - Benalla, Victoria
Made by Rob Ellis and Mark Foletta.
Pinot Gris and Pinot Grigio are made from the same grape variety, just in different styles. Grigio is the Italian version, generally picked early with a bright acidity and crisp, zingy fruit. The French style, Gris, is riper and fuller, characterised more by its volume than its acidity.
Tart lemon and poached pears backed up with a good bit of spice (isn’t that nice?). Made for us by our friend Ros Ritchie, support women in winemaking and have a great time doing it. Try with some sushi or fresh spring vegetables for a very memorable experience.
Available at Rose St, Lygon St, and Queen St.
